Canine Carnival Credit: the APA

Treat your furry friends to a special day at the Canine Carnival, slated from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Francis Park in South City.

Highlights of the event include plenty of dog games that will be fun for animals and humans alike, a kids’ crafting and gaming area, a vendor village featuring local artisans selling goods for humans and dogs, along with live music from a local cover band called No Soliciting.

After all that playing, you’ll probably be hungry, so grab a bite to eat from food vendors such as Black Sheep, Enoch’s Funnel Cake Express, Waynos Mediterranean Cuisine, SNS Goodies and Wok ‘n’ Roll. You’ll also be able to stop into the Rockwell Beer Garden for a few drinks.

All proceeds from this event benefit shelter pets of the Animal Protection Agency of Missouri, which is in great need due to very limited space at the shelter.

Tickets are available online for adults; kids 17 and under and pets are free.
